Activities

While the activities of the forum will be determined / proposed by the forum, it is envisaged that the forum will have in input into or be involved in organising some / all of the following:

  • Discussion and collation of input on national / sectoral initiatives and strategies within the ICT remit.
  • Act as a sounding board for its members via discussion boards, documents, etc.
  • Organisation of small seminars on technology updates and developments, project implementations and methodologies, common issues and concerns, etc.
  • Input into the progression of staffing matters such as grading structures, competency levels, etc.
  • Engagement with the wider ICT sector on aspects that are pertinent to Health
  • Professional Development
  • Any other business that is felt appropriate by the membership.
  • Provide leadership and a common voice that will influence the national agenda on a variety of issues and in a variety of national fora.
  • Provide a forum for the exchange of information, best practices and ideas on matters relating to the effective management and use of ICT in healthcare.
  • Promote open communication between members and provide advice and support to leaders peers
  • Exchange information and best practices with respect to ICT products and services.
  • The forum will engage with vendors, companies and organsiations to continually update its knowledge on ICT developments, however the engagement will not influence any future agreements/commercial arrangements which may be entered into by forum members or their employers.
