Married with five children I've been working in IT for the last 40 years, half of which time I've been lead ITSM consultant and trainer at Purple Griffon, amassing over sixty certifications over the years. I've also worked for Allied Bakeries, Provincial Insurance, AXA, O2, HMCE and Barclays Bank in various Service Management roles. I have always had a keen interest in the latest technologies and recently co-authored the BCS Artificial Intelligence Foundations book alongside Dr Andy Lowe. As a technical support analyst in the 1980's I had my first foray in AI development creating a smart system in the form of a Problem Management diagnostic tool, unfortunately back then we didn’t have the computing power to make it work successfully.
